part two : mandy and joseph wedding

Tuesday, May 6, 2014

today i am sharing the second part of the gorgeous wedding of mandy  and joseph  (first part here).  the black, gold, white and champagne wedding color palette was carried over to all of the reception decor. the reception setting was a beach cottage the couple rented. this is where all the guests stayed as well. the images of the romantic beachside reception are just breathtaking!

thanks again mandy  for sharing with us your wedding album!

Monday, May 5, 2014

HELLO FRIENDS!
i hope you all had a good weekend and ready to face a brand new week because i am! i'm thrilled today to be able to share Part 1 of a beautiful wedding feature in the blog.

mandy,  owner of klury and my blog sponsor got married last november and she has just finally shared the amazing photos from that memorable day. this is a photo overload post ~ i don't want you to miss the lovely details that i have got to do a part 2 post and that will be up tomorrow.

let's start with the charming chapel in north carolina. mandy  wanted a very intimate, classic and yet glamorous wedding. the white chapel was decorated with topiaries, boxwood wreaths and gilded hurricane lamps. stunning!

mandy  looked every inch a radiant bride on her wedding day in a drop dead gorgeous lace gown and sparkly wedding shoes!

tomorrow i will share photos of the romantic beachside reception

vintage-inspired bridal shower

Sunday, August 14, 2011

last saturday i had the pleasure of attending a girly vintage-inspired lingerie bridal shower for niece ada fay, who will be getting married this coming labor day weekend. i am honored to be in the wedding party and we are all delighted to share that memorable day with this special couple.

the bride's cousins and friends threw her a vintage-inspired lingerie shower with an all ladies guests. with a few fun games and a lively photobooth session, it was a lovely afternoon to toast and celebrate the bride's last few days of being a beautiful single lady. jake is such a lucky guy!

a vintage-inspired bridal shower

this vintage feel for a bridal shower is so romantic and darling and i'm falling in love with it!
the talented designer and stylist behind this event is clemens from oh baby boy by clemens design. i first noticed her incredible work last year and featured her son's adorable nautical birthday party here in my blog.

this time she appears again but for a bridal shower design evoking romance and love. from the beautiful flowers in dusty pink and white, the ruffled cake and dangling birdcages  ~ all are darling vintage-inspired  accents that are just precious!

i still can't get over the fact that those lovely paper flower accents on the cake stands are actually coffee filters! genius way to use and create something so unexpectedly attractive out of them ~ so breathtaking!

go and visit clemens blog for more stunning photos and be on the look out for part 2 of her bridal shower blog post soon! i'm looking forward to see that too!

pleats and more [bridal gowns]

Wednesday, January 5, 2011

i spotted these non-traditional weddings gowns and i love that the hues are anything but white. the masterful creation of pleating is spectacular and dreamy. these are beautiful and perfect for when you say "i do". who says you have to absolutely wear white on your big day?

wedding memories [first anniversary]

Thursday, October 28, 2010

last year one of my best friends got married and it was such a memorable occasion as old friends came from out of town and get to spend some rare time together with our children and families. in a few weeks, this special couple will celebrate their first year anniversary and i thought it would be wonderful to go back and take a look at that beautiful day they got married.

it was an intimate small day wedding that i love. the wedding color motif was a gorgeous vivid crimson - a perfect rich fall hue that was reflected through the the bride's bouquet, maid of honor's dress, and accents for the flower girl's dress and wedding cake. the solemn ceremony left me teary-eyed and even much more during the reception when the bride's only brother gave his toast and speech. i am such a cry baby but i didn't really care knowing that they were tears of joy. sigh. enough of my emotional rants and on to the stunning wedding photos taken by the amazing ben of sassani photography. he truly captured all the beautiful moments of the wedding!
