boy oh boy [sailor-themed birthday party]

Saturday, October 16, 2010

i am super ecstatic to share this awesome sailor party for cutie little Joshua. i've been hinting for the last few blog posts that i have been insanely collecting nautical stuff for our son's birthday party next year (but it seems like we may divert to a fireman sam party - but let's save that for another future blog post). searching for inspirations and steadily preparing for a party that is months away is crazy to say the least.

and boy was i happy to stumble upon this lovely party from oh boy and i just love all the details and creative crafts joshua's mom (and her family from brazil) made. i dont even know where to start....

the colors are red, white and varying shades of blue. the party decor is just phenomenal. from the hanging anchors and sailboats to the sailor teddy bears and pinwheels - everything is just perfect!

the party favors are fabric crayon holders and little notepads all in nautical theme!

the dessert table display is filled with assorted yummy treats like sailboat cookies, m&m chocolates packed in tiny tubes (so cute!), coconut drops, popcorn and so much more!

check out the lovely dessert table and cake. the sailor bears are such an adorable touch and joshua's mom painted the lighthouses to match the party color!

this party gives me so much inspiration and ideas for a future nautical party and i hope it does for you too!

What a great find! Everything seems to have been coordinated perfectly. This actually makes me want to design a nautical themed nursery (no, I'm not pregnant...I just think these design elements would translate well to the a little boy's room) Thanks for sharing!
