hi friends. i am back from a much deserved r&r with the family over the weekend. i've paused from blogging for a few days and now i'm back embracing summer and wouldn't you know it, father's day is just two week away. today, i've gathered a few gift ideas to shower the dads on their special day!

memories keepsake in a bottle

last friday, aston came home from vacation bible school with the most precious keepsake they made just in time for father's day.

their summer camp and VBS theme this year was "under the sea" and this was the perfect project for them. inside a mason jar is filled with sand and seashells topped with his photo and wrapped with a raffia string. just darling!

this keepsake gift can be easily recreated especially with the kids being home from school and with many beach trips for the summer, this is the perfect souvenir they can make. i found this tutorial (link below) from tip junkie and i hope it can guide you in creating your memories keepsake in a jar!

i have always wanted to throw our little boy a preppy madras-themed party but alas, he has other plans. for this father's day, the masculine plaid colors of this classic theme will be perfect for a father's day BBQ or afternoon gathering. a simple madras runner can set the tone for the casual tablesetting. hurricane lamps, pillows and bean bag cushions with the same fabric will be the perfect party decor accents. how adorable it would be to have your guests come in their favorite madras attire too? so fun!
