we threw our longtime staff a baby shower for her fourth child. she's due in august but knowing that this is her fourth, we had to have it soon. venue was at our office and we went with the duck theme. i offered to do the decor and styling. a few months back i had already quietly started to collect duck-themed elements that i think we can use for the party. let me share some photos from today's party table.
my favorite would have to be the hand towel flags i used as a banner and the daisies i arranged in royal blue sundae glasses i found at the grocery's (kroger's) summer clearance rack.
the baby blue-colored cake's flavor was white chocolate with raspberry filling from rustika bakery and i added the sugar duck toppers i got from hobby lobby.
cupcakes were picked up from randall's and decorated with my DIY duck flags made of ribbon. cupcake stand is just a white giftbox which i glued fabric ribbon on.
party favors are powder scented soap duckies that were ordered from etsy and raspberry scented body lotion from target.
the mini duck cookies were ordered from my favorite etsy cookie baker sunshinebakes.
it was a pleasant afternoon enjoyed by everyone as we feasted on various sandwiches, ceasar salad, pasta caprese salad and fruits from corner bakery. my go-to gourmet deli for delivered yummy healthy sandwiches and to-die-for desserts! always a treat!
