ava's enchanted forest birthday party

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

pinterest has surely been a great inspiration to most of us, including this mom who put out this incredible party for her daughter ava not too long ago. inspired by pins in pinterest on a little red riding hood/enchanted forest theme, nelly styled the cutest little red's enchanted forest themed party for her daughter ava

i am loving the red and teal/aqua color palette carried out all throughout the party decor and details. with amazing decor finds from hobby lobby and homegoods, the dessert table and centerpieces were perfectly tied into the theme. from wooden tree branch coasters to custom tree trunk label holders/chalkboard signs, everything just fell into place to create a beautiful enchanting party!

nelly crafted a torn fabric rag garland banner using fabric to anchor the front of the main dessert table. the various patterns created another dimension and texture to the already pretty dessert display! so creative!

chocolate and water custom labels really dress up store bought food items. so much prettier than the actual labels!

party favors were cleverly picked out to match the theme. the boys took home felt wolf masks which are adorable. the girls get to take home felt fruit-filled baskets spruced up with a fabric flower made by her friend. such a personal touch!

the kiddos get to snack on red apples, nutrigrain bars, trail mix, cake pops, cookies and the delicious birthday cake!

this little red riding hood doll was an amazing find. sitting atop a tree stump - i thought that was just darling!
thanks nelly for allowing us to feature this memorable party!
