manzanita trees

Friday, September 30, 2011

a few of you have inquired about the beautiful manzanita trees i have in our dining room i shared yesterday . those were generously given to me by my dear friend Nina, who got those from blooms and branches. those lovely branches/trees are so versatile and have been centerstage in a few parties and events in the past year we have hosted.

they have been dressed up and re-used countless times and with a few various change up in trimmings - it has been a gorgeous table centerpiece for a baby shower, a holiday tree in my home, decor for a wine event and most recently, a focal point in our fall decor at home!

my friend Nina originally created all the table centerpieces made of these branches and she hung crystals and glued flowers on them for a friend's baby shower. full blog post on the baby shower, here!

if you like them so much, blooms & branches has a weekend SALE (sep 30 - oct 2) with code 09TMP11!

also, if you opt for a more natural look - they are available for purchase at save-on crafts in a variety of sizes too!

Fall Decorating

Thursday, September 29, 2011

Take a peek at our home's most recent fall decor. I'm far from done but it's now coming along nicely. I will share some more pictures once I've updated our fireplace mantel as well. I'm thinking more ghourds and burlap and some pretty fall flowers.

an orange 3rd birthday party

Monday, September 26, 2011

for adorable triplets ~ palmer, conner and griffin's 3rd birthday bash, it meant triple times the fun!

today's party feature is their super fun orange party styled and hosted by their incredible mom, ashley of him and her plus four blog. too many cute details with lovely coordinating party papergoods in the vibrant orange theme and cute mod patterns completed the party!

i love that all throughout the party, kids activities and games revolved around the three/triple-themes and signs were all around to remind of the three precious blessings they have! check out all the complete birthday posts from ashley's blog HERE, HERE AND HERE

the gorgeous invites were created by ashley's bestfriend, lynlee of lynlee and co

paper poms, centerpiece sticks and coordinating patterned orange tablecloths added pizzazz to the party decor! matching centerpiece sticks, stickers, favor toppers, water bottle labels and cupcake toppers by the WH hostess!

this is such a brilliant idea to hang dressed-up letters to note the celebrants birthday chairs!

the drinks bar below served orange drinks, no less! with water bottles wrapped with customized orange labels and accessorized with orange-striped straws!

pom topiaries, party bunting and hanging poms were used to decorate the dessert table!

the sweetest triplets ready to dig in their treats and almost worn out from the festivities!

thanks so much ashley for sharing with us your babies' amazing party!

airplane orange birthday party

Thursday, September 22, 2011

i am thrilled to feature today another of clemens of clemens designs parties. this time it is of clemens' baby boy's 2nd birthday party. her parties are always full of creative DIY projects and darling sweet touches!

she recently opened her etsy store and i am simply amazed that with her busy schedule, she was able to put together this adorable orange airplane party for her little boy! check out the party pictures taken by no less than the talented  pam rodrigues

clemens used fun polka dotted paper for the paper airplanes and was used all throughout the party!

creative tablecenterpieces of paper airplanes on sticks!

cutest packaging of candies in tubes with the coordinating paper planes!

instead of a dessert table, clemens gathered all the treats and goodies on a "cubed display". LOVE this idea!

tiny guests get to take home "suitcases" made out of cardboard paper. handstitched, personalized and dressed up by clemens! clever way of adding custom touches to an otherwise simple cardboard box suitcase!

and finally, the divine cake with mini paper airplane bunting ~ so cute!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSHUA!
