alice in wonderland 5th birthday soiree

hello friends! 

i'm so glad to be back blogging after a most fun christmas celebration with loved ones! i hope you all did too! 

today's party feature is a lovely most adorable "alice in wonderland" 5th birthday party. whimsical and girly - this party was perfect for a sweet 5 year old, linden.  

i love that her mom, jennie, used vintage and on-hand home decor to utilize for the party setup and decorations perfect for the fun theme. the cake stand used for the birthday cake has been with the family for over 10 years and comes out for special occasions. and this definitely was one. she also resourcefully collected some inexpensive tea cups and saucers from a consignment store that also served as party favors for the little guests, as well as boas and beads for girls and tophats for the boys.

jennie also gathered some of her own teapots and cakestands as well as christmas decorations and topiaries for the party decor to tie up the whimsy garden feel the party needed. she had a friend, erin nasser, design all the party papergoods including the birthday banner, welcome signage, labels and directional flags. i simply love the pink and lavender color scheme with feather boas and butterflies that all little girls adore! 

for entertainment, the kiddos were treated with an appearance of Alice in Wonderland, aka Honeydew the Clown. they also snacked on pinwheel sandwiches, veggie fries, apple slices, chocolate pretzels, cupcakes and lemonade!
