are you ready? [H&M]

Thursday, November 4, 2010

i'm still bummed about not having H&M here in houston and whenever before we go out of town, first thing i check is to see if there's H&M in the destination city. particularly on this big day that i'm so sorry for myself (ok, exaggerated a little) but it's the rare steal of a deal on a limited edition collection of lanvin for H&M that i'm dreaming about. it hit stores on november 23.

this is what alber elbaz, artistic director of lanvin, has to say....

“H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.”

I love/miss H&M, too! When I lived in Europe, we went ALL the time! There's one street in Paris that has two or three!

That is too funny. I do the same thing when we travel. I always look to see if there is an H&M near by. I did find out there is one opening in Dallas in 2011. I will be making special trips for sure! I'm dying for one in Austin. By the way, thanks for the anniversary well wishes! Have a good one!
