there's no question i love colorful patterns and prints. so when i finally got my monogrammed melamine plates, i didnt hesitate to try it out with another bold pattern, in this case a pink liner over white tablecloth - for a bright summer tablescape perfect for a baby/bridal shower, outdoor brunch or a girly soiree.
to tame the crazy patterns, i limited the color scheme to two colors, pink and green and kept the decor simple. i only had macarons on hand, so i added those as treats.
to sum it up, i think it's a bold move to marry two prints together in table decor but in my opinion it still works!

ReplyDeleteI am now following...
ciao from Newport Beach.
Your ideas follow suit with fashion with the latest being a mixing of patterns. I spy macarons too, and how cute would they be with their own polka dot pattern or floral http://www.GreenEyedSusan.com :)

ReplyDeleteIt looks so great - Love your style! So bright and stylish xxx
ReplyDeleteLove the pink and green combo and the pairing of the prints! Totally fun!
ReplyDeleteLove your prints together! I’ll admit a certain geeky love for “What Not to Wear” here and reference Clinton Kelly...you can definitely pair prints together as long as one is bolder than the other. Your pink print almost acts as a neutral pattern against the green near-chevron pattern. Great display!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great!!! I would never have tried it on my own, so thanks to you, now I will :)
