weekend plans

Saturday, April 6, 2013

so much is going on, i can't even stop and smell the roses from yesterday's post. i have so much on my plate but i wouldn't have it any other way.

i am helping a couple of friends prepare for their big days. more on that later. i am also gathering inspiration for aston's 6th birthday party for next month - wait, it's next month? so soon!

and with all that organized chaos that is my shedule, i have to really stick to my goal of going to my define classes at least three times a week. so, i'm starting off my saturday with an early morning session. afterwards, i'm squeezing in some cleaning and reorganizing of my closet. i shipped a great deal of designer clothing and shoes to klury yesterday to edit my wardrobe and to make room for a few new spring and summer acquisitions. that whole editing process is actually therapeutic and refreshing. out with the old, in with the new. my new mantra.

later on the day, we are excited to celebrate aston's cousin daniel's 5th birthday with a fun party at the local ice and sports center. daniel's mom ailynne, will surely have an exciting party planned out for everyone to enjoy!

well, enough of my rants. what about you, what are you up to this weekend?

friday's flowers

Friday, April 5, 2013

why hello there friday!
so glad it's you again. just happy that you are here.

it seems that we live for fridays. or the weekends. it gets a little crazy during the week and i look forward to spend lazy days with the family. thought i'd post these lovely images to start off a blooming weekend!

these pictures are just light and bright with the prettiest images of spring floral bunches. throw in a bundle of flowers, whether from the grocery or a fancy florist, immediately transforms an air of romance anywhere.

how darling is that pink hermes kelly filled with ranunculus? xoxo.

a lilly party

Thursday, April 4, 2013

this next featured party is inspired by the great lilly pulitzer featured in southern living. with it's all pink and preppy decor with bold touches of green and turquoise, it is the perfect ambiance for a summer or spring soiree.

along with the classic lilly fabric patterns and swatches, it makes for a very beautiful statement that's undeniably pretty preppy!

how perfect is that pink bar cart? that alone can be reused in so many ways post-soiree!

always include something unexpected such as these fun pink flamingoes ~ topping the floral arrangements with them added an element of surprise that's truly unforgettable!

menus on coordinating patterned frames are a nice touch and served as party favors as well!

are you getting ready to host a spring/summer soiree? take inspiration on your favorite designer logo or color-scheme and run with it! this event was the perfect example that you can make it a memorable one!
