i was totally bummed out to miss the event yesterday at BHLDN, anthropologie's bridal sister store, when it opened it's doors to the media people and bloggers before it's official opening tomorrow at their first ever store in the nation ~ the Houston store!

i have been drooling over their online site boasting lovely eye candies and goodies for every bride, bridesmaid or for any girly-girl out there desiring pretty lovely things. whether it's for a wedding or not, it seems like you can find anything that will make your heart flutter!

cady's dedication reception

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

last year i featured this precious little girl's pink first birthday party, this time cady's lovely dedication reception photos are shared with us today by her talented mom, gabby of just another paradise blog. incredibly, gabby baked the cake, cakepops and prepared the display!

a clean white palette set the tone for the reception bringing in desserts and sweets coated in white chocolate or white fondant. everything looked delicately beautiful and pristine.

i know gabby is busy preparing for cady's 2nd birthday party and i can't wait what to see this next celebration coming up! thanks gabby for allowing me to share!

end of summer sale

Thursday, August 11, 2011

as much as i look forward to shopping for back-to-school essentials, it also means getting lucky on some of the best deals for end of summer sale. i know as department stores display their brand new notebooks and glistening backpacks, i'm there hunting for the summer clearance rack!

all stores whether in-store or online have their sale going on as well as their clearance and that's where i mostly click or head on to see what's marked down. here are a few great finds i managed to spy online and if you like any of them, i suggest you go ahead and click the link below and stock up as most of them are limited supplies :

silicone strawberry mold - perfect for a strawberry-themed party or simply to jazz up your ice cubes for a summer party!

letterpress party stationary  - such an incredible price for a classic letterpress stationary and accessories!

eco-friendly striped straws - they are so much fun & its great for the environment too!

beautiful coral napkins - these are just simply beautiful!

blue brushstroke dinnerware - another gorgeous setting that obviously i don't need but i can't resist anything blue!

shell bucket serveware - a perfect bucket to catch your discarded shells for your lobster boil party!

i cant believe summer is over soon. i just recently took my son to summer camp & now in a few weeks school starts!

what are some of the best end-of summer deals you have seen lately?
