cady's pink party [first birthday party]

Thursday, November 11, 2010

i think first birthday parties are extra special and this next birthday party feature is no exception. i've "met" gabby online one lazy sunday afternoon as i was blog hopping on various lovely blogs and i stumbled on her's that day. i enjoyed reading her adventures on motherhood, cooking, sewing and baking. i also found out we live in the same area but have yet to meet! who knows, i might just bump into her at michaels or the grocery one day...

she has the cutest daughter cadence who recently just had her first birthday party. gabby being an awesome hands-on mom and party host, went all out in preparing for the big day including tons of DIY party details which includes the amazing birthday tiered cake and smash cake! see, she's is super mom!

i've only handpicked a few images here but she has tons of beautiful party photos to share on cady's birthday party post including all the party detail information that i'm sure you dont want to miss!

blue thanksgiving [thanksgiving tablescapes]

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

several posts back i featured some amazing thanksgiving table centerpieces that were big in traditional harvest looks created in the richest colors of browns and pumpkin orange with the use of vegetables, flowers and fruits. i am now loving the current trend of taking modern twists in creating a more unconventional approach to holiday decorating. in this case, using blue as the main hue for the thanksgiving table. aren't they lovely?

football tailgate party [jack's third birthday party]

Tuesday, November 9, 2010

the other day i featured cat's daughter's amazing tea party and today i'm sharing her son jack's third football tailgate birthday party. there are so many incredible details that she used that can be utilized for any sports-themed party you may host in the future. despite the threatening bad weather that day, the party was a success and everyone had fun!

check out his awesome cupcakes and cake topper - sooo cool! the guests were all given spirit buttons featuring the celebrant's adorable pictures!

jack's dad also made this football goal made out of PVC pipes which cat put her creative spin to it and tied colorful buntings on it - i love it. i bet the kids have fun completing their touchdowns here!

she served some power veggie snacks and pb&j sandwiches shaped in football and helmets!

party favors were poms and personalized tags that cat herself made!

i have already added a soccer-themed party to our little guy's ever growing list of party theme possiblities for his birthday next year. thanks to cat's party ideas, the soccer-theme is in the top 3 (among others are nautical, dinosaur and fireman themes) on the list!

to enjoy cat's post on jack's birthday party and for the complete list of party vendors, visit  her blog! thank you cat for allowing me to share!
