today we are honoring the real heroes who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. we are grateful for the veterans who have served and fought for this country.

can't lie, i still got easter decor up in the house. don't mind that i do. but moving right along - i've got red, white and blue on my mind to get me in the mood for the long memorial weekend!

weekend recap

i hope everyone had a great weekend! it's monday again! 

we had a fabulous weekend. let me start by recapping a birthday celebration of a very dear friend last thursday. we had an early dinner before watching the musical play, wicked at our local downtown theatre. i've never seen it before but i've heard some of the songs and if you have not seen it yet, you need to go watch it. it's. so. good. 

we each got the soundtrack cd as party favors and it's on repeat in my car and i am determined to memorize each and every song. lol, love it so much! 

aston had two birthday parties lined up to go this past weekend. first was a bowling party at the new main event by our house. that place is huge and it's got everything for everyone. bowling lanes, laser tag arena, an arcade, a pizza and gelato bar, an adult bar with billiards and more. 

needless to say, i am looking forward on celebrating a future birthday there for aston. as you can see below, he loves it! 

we then went on to celebrate our friend nina's sweet twin boys fourth birthday. a pool party was planned but houston's weather has been yucky lately with lots of unpredicatable rain, so the kiddos still had a lot of fun indoors with tons of legos to play and lots of cake to eat! 

and lastly, a footwear repeat that i had just to mention. it fits in my summer wardrobe!
