take a hike [nature party at the arboretum]

Yesterday we had a great time at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center for a birthday party. The air was crisp and the sunshine was refreshing. It was a  perfect day for a nature trail walk which we all enjoyed!

The kids get to join in the scavenger hunt observing for 
paw prints, trees, furry friends, slithering creatures and more!

friday faves [my holiday wishlist]

we are a few weeks away from christmas day and the hustle and bustle of the yuletide season is definitely in the air. traffic is getting worse, malls are crowded, holiday greeting cards are arriving in the mail ~ santa is almost here!

today's friday faves are some of the things i've been dreaming about. it's a short list and i know i've been a good girl, so i may end up receiving one of these. yay!

how do i love thee [wedding anniversary]

today we celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. we got married in a garden one warm september afternoon surrounded by our family and friends.

we cherished that moment as we finally sealed our promise to love and to hold, to laugh and to inspire, to trust and to appreciate one another as long as we live.

blogging again

i was forced to quit my fashion blog 3 years ago when i was preparing the arrival of our little one. maternity fashion was not exciting and there was nothing to write about that's remotely chic during pregnancy. i was gaining weight and i was just bloated all the time. nothing fashionable about that.

3 years had passed (the unwanted pounds still linger though) and the little one is off to summer camp, i am inspired to blog again. it may not be the same fashion literature read but this blog will focus on a little creative outlet i have been playing with lately.

i will share colorful photos of our own personal party file. i will also blog on tips and steals and deals on just about anything (i may throw in some warehouse sale dates, coupons etc). i will also share simple creative and inexpensive way to celebrate little milestones of our lives.

that's what it's all about. living and partying like there's no tomorrow with our loved ones and doing it fabulously!
